Humanity was wiped out by a pathogen linked to Friendly Pals, genetically engineered creatures, granted human-like intelligence to serve mankind’s ambitions. The Pals are now left behind, imitating their creators' society long after humanity vanished.

It is hard to say what year it is now. Our world is long gone.

Humanity was wiped out by a pathogen traced back to its own creation: the Friendly Pals. Created through genetic experiments and gifted with human intelligence, they were designed to serve humanity and help build a better future for us.

Instead, they inherited our world. Now left behind, the Pals mimic the society of their dead creators.

You play as Dan, a little guy who receives an unexpected phone call from his childhood friend Basil, inviting him to an old forest campsite to reunite with friends from the past.

But the forest hides something beneath it. A forgotten past. Buried secrets. Remnants of a world that should no longer exist.

And one impossible question: Is humanity truly extinct?
