About the Game

Master of Piece is a deck-building roguelite inspired by classic board games, offering simple rules with deeply strategic gameplay. In a world shrouded by black mist, set out on an expedition with your own band of mercenaries to uncover the secrets hidden within the darkness.

Optimize your strategy, deploy mercenaries, and lead them to victory. Strengthen your units and combine their traits to create powerful synergies — only then will you survive the perilous journey ahead.

Turn-Based Auto-Battler with Simple Rules

Each round, you spend action points to deploy mercenaries onto the battlefield.
Once the battle begins, mercenaries act automatically in order of their Speed, so it’s crucial to position them wisely during deployment.

Though combat follows a straightforward structure where outcomes depend on stats, achieving victory requires careful consideration of every element that takes effect during the battle — traits, obstacles, flag health, and status effects.
A single misjudgment can change the entire flow of battle — make wise decisions.

Combine Traits, Relics, and Rumors for Endless Strategies

Master of Piece is designed to be intuitive and accessible, yet it demands complex strategic thinking — combining mercenary traits, managing relics, and optimizing your commander’s abilities.

This creates a gameplay experience where easy learning and deep challenge coexist in harmony.

Recruit mercenary pieces instead of cards, and build your deck as you form the band of mercenaries. Each mercenary has unique traits that trigger during battle — and up to two traits can be combined per mercenary, enabling endless synergies and combos.

As your team grows stronger and achieves victories, rumors begin to spread — just as they did about legendary soldiers of the past. Rumors grant special abilities that are distinct from traits or upgrades. If one of your mercenaries has earned renown, visit the tavern to spread the rumors about him and amplify your team’s synergy.

Failure Is Not the End

Your journey through this harsh world may end in failure — but every defeat becomes the seed of new potential.
With over 100 mercenaries and traits, 30 relics, and 20 cards, each run offers a unique experience.

Use the resources gained from failed expeditions to construct facilities at the Outpost. These buildings provide permanent upgrades: more usable items, stronger mercenaries, and other powerful advantages for future journeys.

Prepare for Powerful Foes at the Building Events

Throughout the regions, you’ll encounter various buildings where you can combine traits, banish useless mercenaries, and purchase relics or items to prepare for battles ahead. Grow stronger to face the formidable forces of evil that await.

Random Card Encounters Along the Journey

Tough decisions don’t only happen in battle. During your journey, you’ll encounter random card events — brief stories where your choices directly shape the outcome. Will your decisions bring fortune to your expedition, or lead them into peril? As the commander, the fate of your team rests in your hands.
