Vaethorn: Realm of Legends is a tactical roguelite card game set within the pages of an ancient, living storybook. As you venture deeper into the realms, every choice you make is written into the fate of each card and of your Lord. The sharpest moments of strategy lie in your decisions, and the closer you draw to the dragon's mountain, the hotter the fire burns. Play without a timer, and find yourself lost in the weight of each choice.
Attack Cards:
Each turn, you draw new attack cards. Use them to break a Keeper's defense, or place them into your Lord's revitalize formula to preserve your vitality.
Relic Cards:
After every successful expedition, you earn three relic cards, and each one demands a careful decision. A relic card can be played in three places: place it in the slot to empower your attacks, place it on your Lord to preserve vitality, or place it on a Keeper to weaken its defense. Every equation you solve shapes the course of your journey through the realms.
Sorcerer Cards:
Captured in the battles of the realms, sorcerers lay down their lives for the Lord — their only purpose is to protect. You must play your sorcerer cards at the right place and the right moment. Each sorcerer is one-use only: placed into the slot, they fulfill their duty, and there they fall. A fallen sorcerer never returns, and your journey continues without them.
Every Card Joins the Journey:
Each turn, 3 relic cards and 1 sorcerer card are drawn from your inventory. The number of attack cards grows with the realm's difficulty. By the time you reach the Boss, your card pool is filled with everything you've gathered across the journey — and you'll see your richest hands in that final battle.
16 Lords, 16 Challenges:
Every Lord has their own vitality, their own revitalize formula, and their own destined path across the map. Some Lords are forgiving; others demand flawless play from the very first card. Wherever your chosen Lord's destined realms fall on the map, the difficulty of your journey and the strategy it demands will be shaped by that path.
30 Hand-Illustrated Realms:
Every realm is drawn by hand with care. Chart your route through destined realms and perilous transit battles, and manage your vitality across the entire journey. There are no easy heals waiting, only the cards in your hand.
Balanced Backward from the Boss:
Every value in Vaethorn is derived backward from the final Boss. Defense stats, realm difficulty, Lord vitality, relic and sorcerer cards... everything is tuned to make the journey feel tense, fair, and rewarding.
